an ongoing commitment to providing an excellent, comprehensive
selection of premium quality coffees and teas from around
the world. From origin to you, our goal is to make our
customers happy with their selections. We believe that
this functional website will be complementary to our
established values of quality and service.
Please note that we have recently added certified organic,
shade grown organic and Fair Trade coffees to our selections.
We've also resumed offering the legendary Jamaican Blue
Mountain coffee on a limited, as available basis. We've
also expanded our tea offerings to over 80 selections

a convenient bag, we are now offering a selection of
Lindsay's teabags.

We hope you will visit our website often as we add
new items to our online offerings, including exciting
coffee and tea accessories. We also plan to present
you with some special, limited availability coffees
and teas as well.
The staff at Freed's is just a phone call away if you
need assistance (see our Contact
Us page). We are always happy to help you with
special needs and blends to suit your palate. Keep in
mind that our voice mail is working 24/7. Thank you

A San Francisco tradition since 1899, Freed’s
has been a family business for all these years. We’d
probably be in the same location if our earlier premises
hadn’t been razed in the earthquake and fire of
1906. (We San Franciscans are a bit defensive about
the ’06. It was the fire that caused most of the
damage.) It was called Polk Gulch back then, complete
with underground streams. The street was paved with
bricks, and there were hitching posts along the sidewalk.
